Canterbury Christ Church University Collaborative Bench Seating

UK seating manufacturer CPS Manufacturing Co worked with the Canterbury Christ Church University on the new state-of-the-art Verena Holmes Building with STEM facilities.

We designed, manufactured and installed timber tiered flooring and collaborative bench seating systems into two lecture theatres. A total of 308 lecture theatre seats were installed with 154 seats in each lecture room.

The timber tiering forms a sealed plenum with ventilation cut-outs in the risers. The seating was designed to follow a feature wall around the sides and rear of the lecture theatres. This required careful coordination from initial design through to set-up and final installation.
