Macclesfield Leisure Centre Spectator Seating

Noted as one of the largest sports facilities in East Cheshire, the Macclesfield Leisure Centre got in touch with CPS Seating LTD in 2016 regarding designing, manufacturing and installing swimming pool spectator seating.

The Macclesfield Leisure Centre is home to the Satellites Swimming Club which coaches international and county level competitive swimmers. There are two swimming pools in the centre including the 25m swimming pool as well as a smaller learner’s pool.

Our flagship auto-tipping Avatar seating was installed in the pool viewing gallery. The seat won the 2016 Red Dot Award for best stadium seat design and fits the criteria for the European Standards for spectator seating. 273 Avatar seats were installed in total.

We also fixed seven sets of steps down to the seating. The steps were surrounded by hand-railing and balustrading for safety.
