Michael Woods Leisure Centre Spectator Seating

The Michael Woods Sports and Leisure Centre near Glenrothes was opened in 2013 with high quality spectator seating already installed by CPS Seating LTD. The Michael Woods Sports and Leisure Centre is operated by Fife Sports and Leisure Trust.

The leisure centre was awarded second place in the Architectural Excellence Award for Public Buildings in 2014.

We installed spectator seating into two areas in the new sports centre. A total of 355 seats were installed into the swimming and sports hall viewing areas. The poolside spectator seating was the CR4 seat in multiple different colours.

The poolside spectator seating looks out over a 25m main pool and a 20m training pool with movable floor. The CR4 spectator seat was chosen as it is light-resistant, resistant to severe public use and ideal for wet, high temperature environments like near a pool.

The sports hall had black AB spectator seating installed in the viewing area. Similarly, the auto-tipping AB seat was chosen as it is durable and resistant to severe public use.
