Newton Aycliffe Leisure Centre Spectator Seating

Opened in 1974, the Newton Aycliffe Leisure Centre is run by the Durham County Council.

Newton Aycliffe Leisure Centre contacted CPS Seating LTD regarding installing seating into two locations.

The award-winning Avatar spectator seat was installed, which is auto-tipping and meets the European Standards for spectator seating. The leisure centre seats were colour co-ordinated to match the room they were installed in.

167 Orange Avatar seats were chosen for the gallery in the sports hall. The sports hall at the Newton Aycliffe leisure centre is the home venue for the English Basketball league team Durham Wildcats.

The swimming pool viewing area had 142 blue Avatar seats installed to co-ordinate with the natural association between water and the colour. 31 seats were installed over the learner’s pool and 111 seats were installed over the main swimming pool.
