Project Description
CPS Manufacturing Co recently worked with the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham to complete a full seating refurbishment of their lecture theatre. This project included installing new lecture theatre seating and desking to match.
119 Vario seats were installed in total with writing tablets on the front room and fitted desks for the following rows.
The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust chose the multi-coloured seating fabrics to represent the trust’s values. The trust’s values are respect, compassion, excellence, pride, openness and innovation.
The lecture theatre desking also featured NHS colour coded blue desk edging for a vibrant colour finish in the lecture room.
In addition, the front seats feature plaques with inspirational messages such as Professor Phil Begg’s “Learning is not a spectator sport” to encourage the students in the lecture hall.
The Head of Education and Training at the Trust said:
“The lecture theatre is looking amazing this morning. With the new side boards, the plaques in palce it looks amazing. Working with CPS has been a pleaseure. You have been efficient, responsive and even during COVID appreciative of the delays to the works going on. Julian Ashmore -the CPS Client Relationship Manager – talked us through the options of what we could do, and then was patient whilst waiting for me to get agreement from the trust to go ahead.”
