Project Description

Recently CPS Seating has had the pleasure of working with clients Dublin City University, and contractors Walls McKeown JV, to provide an extensive and completely bespoke seating solution, for their four brand new lecture hall spaces.

Across all of the spaces, CPS designed, manufactured and installed dedicated timber and steel teiring structures with features that include, spanning of complex ductwork, providing sufficient ventilation porting, and giving DCU accessible cable management systems.

The seating provided in the four rooms totalled to 568 new seat places for DCU’s students to learn in, with seating options split across fixed single seats with writing ledges for a more traditional lecture set-up, and collaborative bench systems which are perfect for group activities.

The collaborative systems were built completely from high-grade ply structures, with laminated backs for ease of cleaning, and all product was upholstered in a suite of four complimentary Camira fabrics, that marry perfectly with the new DCU campus colour scheme.
