The Heat Is On!

modern-lecture-theatre-seatingThe UK is experiencing a prolonged period of hot weather with the mercury bar going over 33oC this week which is the hottest temperature of the year so far. This has led to a heat health warning to the general public who have been advised to take shelter from the sun with a joint statement coming from the NHS, Public Health England and the Met Office.

So how are the heatwave conditions affecting everyday life here at CPS Seating LTD? The summer months have traditionally been our busiest time of the year in manufacturing our seating products and getting them to our installation teams who work up and down the country.

This is because the universities are closed from late May/early June right through to September so workmen can get on site and crack on with the project work that is planned for the summer. Some work may be major, some may be minor but the main object of the universities is to update and improve the facilities for their students.

This leads on to the overall appearance of a typical lecture theatre or auditorium and in particular the seating arrangement within the room.  We’ve seen it all in our 52 years of history – the good, the bad and the ugly! Some of the rooms we survey before work can begin are in desperate need of renovation and the seating can play a big part in the personal development of a student.

Some of the rooms where we have installed our seating systems have been radically converted to both inspiring and stimulating environments.

For further details on how our superb range of seating can help transform a room and inspire your students on to bigger and better things, please contact our seating specialist on 01288 696000. If you’re too busy to talk just email us your requirements here.

From concept to completions we’ve had it covered since 1966.
